Yessir! This was my first time reading Patrick Rothfuss and the book blew my mind! If there was a chart comparing how good books were, I’m pretty sure he would soo high up there you can’t even see it.
The main character, Kvothe, tells us how he came to be a bartender through magical words and breathtaking scenes. However, the book doesn’t instantly start off with that story. Patrick idly writes about what’s going on at the bar etc. Then he dives into the story of Kvothe, the very start of how Kvothe came to be. Kvothe goes through ups and downs, ups and downs… you get the idea. At the end of the book Patrick leaves us at a cliffhanger, which made me ready for more. For now, there are 3 books in the series, although book 4, Doors of Stone, is supposed to come out July, 2021, although it isn’t on Amazon yet. (FYI: If you’re looking for book 3, it’s actually titled 2.5 and it’s a pretty short book). Rothfuss’s books, for this series, are pretty long, averaging about 650 pages per book, excluding book 2.5.
P.S.I’m a rule breaker… Patrick’s books are pg-13 and I read it when I was 10…DON’T TELL ANYONE!
As I said, this series is pg-13, and there are some romantic scenes including nuditity.
